15 Minute At Home Memory Test Spots Alzheimer’s Early

The SAGE test can be taken at home by patients, who can then share the results with their physicians to help spot early symptoms of cognitive issues such as early dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. With 10,000 people turning 65 every day for the next two decades, it’s not surprising Baby Boomers now fear memory loss more than cancer, heart […]

Good Humor Is Good Medicine for Seniors

Here’s why. Whether you’re gustily guffawing at an episode of “MASH” or quietly giggling at the latest New Yorker cartoon, laughing does you good. Laughter is a great form of stress relief, and that’s no joke. Stress relief from laughter A good […]

Integrated Care for Older Adults and Their Families

Part of our mandate includes enhancing the older adult under our care by supporting their care-givers. Families can be educated on the nature of the condition their loved one is experiencing, and coached in how to respond to it. They will receive regular objective updates on the functionality of the patients as well as a better sense of the rate of change, leading to better planning. They will be tied into existing community groups and […]

So Why Does Perth Need an Enrichment Program for Older Adults?

Many of them already get services at home, but are […]
