VOLUNTEER ROLE

We engage in many activities throughout the day, including: bowling, entertainment, mental aerobics, travelogues, exercise, cards, word/memory games, music therapy and crafts to name a few. Our volunteers will receive training and orientation and as part of our team will be directly involved in all the implementation of all facets of the program.

Volunteers are asked to complete a Vulnerable Persons / Criminal Police check in order to participate in the program.

FUNDRAISING SUPPORT

We welcome volunteers to assist with our Fundraising Events such as our Golf Tournament and Highlands Hunt Adventure Race. Also, if you or a business or organization would be interested in organizing your own fundraising event for PEP we would be very happy to hear from you. Maybe a community yard sale or BBQ?

All proceeds from our fundraising events go directly to funding PEP programs and clients.

Do you have a trade background?

Our local senior population often ask us for names of handy folks that can help with small electrical, plumbing, carpentry or landscaping repairs which  would help them continue to live independently.

Thank you to The Investors Group for supporting the program financially, as well as their support during our special activities.

I can’t begin to express how much I enjoy the time I spend at the Perth Enrichment Program. The ladies on Wednesdays are a joy to be around. We always have a few laughs, and share some stories and adventures. Whether it be music therapy, field trips, paraffin wax treatments and manicures, or cognitive skill games on the ipad, the well- rounded and encouraging atmosphere is wonderful to witness and be a part of. I never leave without a smile on my face! It is truly my pleasure to be a volunteer at PEP.  – Darlene Donnelly – The Investors Group

It has been my pleasure to be associated with the Perth Enrichment Program for Older Adults since February 2015 as a volunteer driver. My interaction with the clients has been very rewarding and I see firsthand how helpful and beneficial the program is…..on the drive home we laugh and discuss how much fun was had by all! Without question this program has made a positive change in not only the clients’ lives but also in mine.  – Jamie Mannion

Thank you to Julie McIntyre for providing art therapy to our program.
